Workshop on Integrated Urban Rehabilitation
Port Said, Egypt - July 6th to 16th, 2024. Join us in exploring innovative strategies and tools for the integrated rehabilitation of Bazar Abbas in the historic core of Port Said and its surrounding neighbourhoods.
This workshop will cover a variety of topics including the adaptive reuse of Port Said built heritage, preservation of intangible heritage and city rebranding, public space improvement and environmental sustainability, promoting cultural tourism and socio-economic development, as well as integrating sustainable mobility and infrastructure. This unique opportunity offers all participants a comprehensive understanding of urban rehabilitation and heritage preservation.

Target Group
We invite Egyptian senior bachelor's students, young graduates, and master's students in the fields of architecture, urban design, and urban planning to apply.
Application
Your application should include:
• Motivation Letter (maximum one page).
• CV (Maximum two pages).
• Portfolio (Maximum five pages).
• Proof of English Proficiency.

The workshop has the capacity for 20 funded participants. The funding covers travel within Egypt to Port Said and accommodation costs.
